"The Greenwood Side") (Child 20, Roud 9) is a murder ballad.[1] Lucy Stewart sings it on Traditional singer from Aberdeenshire CTRAX031, originally a Folkways release. (Roud 9, Child 20, G/D 2:193 UAL) Recorded by Peter Hall at the Aberdeen Folk Festival, 1973.

I am based in Glasgow and explore traditional Scots song. Inspired largely by Scots singers including the repertoire of Lizzie Higgins (1929-1993), I bring together a range of sources and sparse accompaniment.
