D5 from 07Q by Question Beggar
“D5” refers to the highest degree of avalanche, the big one. To my recollection, Q used that term as a cap to posts asserting that the patriots had an overwhelming amount of evidence. Like, “We have it all…D5.”
D5, the concept, seemed to be a comforting counter balance to the corruption that seemed to be omnipresent and omnipotent. How do we defeat them all, everywhere? In a giant avalanche. Ahhh. So much of the Q world, as we imagined it, was incomprehensible. In relation to the standard reality we’d lived our whole lives with, we found ourselves now to be misinformed kids. Santa is Satan. History was a fairy tale. Our parents are jailers. Our heroes are monsters. Can’t do the math. Make it all go away. Cover them under miles of snow. D5!
The lyrics set up a jet-set ski resort where the wicked elites are unexpectedly buried by the biggest of avalanches. I kept the lyrics sparse to let the music do the heavy lifting here, with a workmanlike riff, as I imagine the overwhelming compilation of evidence would have to be a lot of work, man.
I created the avalanche sounds by running a couple of WaveDrum voices through my bass octave pedal.
