Sencha by DR

Dominic Razlaff, hailing from Braunschweig, Germany, is the guiding hand behind the prolific DR moniker that has issued music with labels such as Lagerstätte, Tandem Tapes, Shimmering Moods, Histamine Tapes (and literally dozens more). He has offered a careful and considered ambient piece called Sencha to Psøma Psi Phi, a welcome addition to the growing catalog. Soft, quiet and understated, Sencha almost sounds as if it is the shadow of something else that is never completely revealed. Implied shape, deferred movements, distant vibrations all coalesce into a singular focused breath, exhaling across 56 minutes. On a more personal level, Sencha arrived at a time of loss, and very much helped to soothe when soothing was necessary. We hope that it will continue to be a balm to those in need of a calm and comforting space, and we warmly welcome Dominic to the P / Psi / P estate.
