“WhatWeerDealinWit" features a measured but forceful exposition by Emcee Sick laying out the high-and-low-lights of his path, including victories and shortcomings, substantial and minor. Emotion is palpable but Sick digressively sidenotes struggles with earnest celebrations of the understated variety. Pawcut cracks forward-driving dusty drums, pushing lush keys which climb and descend, giving way there and again to a woman’s voice emoting in the ether.
