Following a mischievous synthesizer intro, “Polyurethane”, the title song from Pressure Pin’s brand new EP, kicks into sheer madness with a slew of odd-metered, harmonically deviant hyper-punk envolées, as singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Kenny Smith (La Sécurité) feverishly rants on about amplitude, attitude, vowels, consonants, and you guessed it… synthetic resinous compounds. Much like the rest of the stylish four-song collection, its opening track is as jagged and tortuous as it is lively and straight-up fun, a must-listen for fans of Snõõper, Jay Reatard or Devo.
