Winter Frost by Pre Polar
A walk across a frozen forest floor that is draped in heavy white snow. The heavy frost’s icy grip on all of the trees and shrubs leaves them pale and brittle. Footsteps crunch into the snow as one makes their way through the dense foliage, looking for an opening to the large field ahead. The sun recedes now behind the tree line leaving the view grey and still.
This track is a slightly warmer precursor to the much colder Arctic Elements album with its eleven tracks of shivering electronic ambient drone landscapes.
This is the first released single from Pre Polar on Bandcamp. Using various in the box modular synthesizer setups and lush reverbs, this track defines the direction of Pre Polar's more eccentric dronal soundscapes and experimental dream zones.
Deeply chilled, evolving movements of ambient elements drive the direction of this effort. Progressing the subtle art of ambient electronic music and bass heavy frequency modulation toward a unique destination. Formative years include the band Redhorse followed with several others in the Chicago area including Surreal Banshee and Draw. Lately spending time with various low frequency generators.
