Irreverence by Faithful

Chicago-based Faithful arrives with their first official release to date.

All tracks were recorded between 2013 and early 2016, a period which represents Faithful’s earliest beginnings in the production of sonic experiments. Somewhat inspired by a six-month stint of curating and broadcasting for an independent internet radio program, the songs bristle with a rawness that characterizes grittier examples of footwork and grime. Each track offers an environ unto itself, built around a palette of sampled found-sound and field-recordings, woven together mainly via torrented DAW, synths, samplers and beloved Audacity, abetted by the narcotic properties of tetrahydrocannabinol.

Although in no way intended to have any definitive rave functionality, over the years these tracks have garnered support from the likes of underground deejays worldwide, perhaps for their unrelenting kilter and often subliminal, hazy patterns and stream-of-consciousness designs.
