One of the most powerful and alluring aspects of making electronic music is the ability to shape and manipulate sound into nearly anything imaginable, and sampling has proven to be an important tool for many artists and musicians. Like spliced genes in a laboratory, recorded samples of sound can be rearranged and mutated to produce totally new and unexpected musical creations, in endless diversity and boundless variation.
This is a 20 track compilation of electronic music, all composed using the same sonic DNA. A sample kit of hundreds of instruments provided the genetic material, resulting in astounding mutations of sound.
