This damsel holds my heart in contempt.
She makes it beat.
She makes it bleed.
What I see in her I see in me.
It's been months since my mind felt free.
She's a parasite, a bloodsucker, nothing but a flea.
So often she plants the seeds which make me seethe.
I'm mad when she stays, but even madder when she leaves.
Feeling like the mad hatter, of my heart she's the queen.
It won't be long 'till I take residence underneath the green.
