Greenland by David Thomas and foreigners
It is not uncommon for David Thomas to gather fine musicians from other realms to produce a sound that is a different 'side of the cup.' He would confess that Bay City is possibly his favorite album of all. This is a rare live recording of the process of exploration that led to that studio album. It is not for the faint hearted - complicated structures and elongated stories, often punctuated with heart-wrenching pathos - but it is an important addition to the Ubu stew.
