Country Rose by Pepper Rose
In the whirlwind of life lately I got it in my head that I needed to return to my roots and record some of my very first songs. I've come a long way since I wrote these around 2016 and I wanted to celebrate that. Is it cliche? Yes. Is it country? Maybe. Is it honest? As honest as a song could be! No autotune or fancy studio- just our basement and a quick turnaround. Thanks to Haglund ranch and Susan Bush and all my tiny porch fam for the inspiration and motivation to get er done. Thanks to Matt Gooch for drumming and to Dave for doing the rest and thanks to my own damn self for being so free and loose with my heart as to live and write these songs.
