De noche, el graznido de una gaviota cangrejera (Larus atlanticus) es seguido por el de una gaviota cocinera (Larus dominicanus). Al fondo, la colonia no descansa. A lo lejos se escuchan motores de autos, sonidos que provienen del continente y viajan a lo ancho del canal. En esta ocasión, el sujeto registrador, inquieto, deja de ser un mero observador inadvertido.
At night, the squawk of an Olrog´s gull (Larus atlanticus) is followed by a kelp gull (Larus dominicanus). In the background, the colony does not rest. Far away, cars can be heard, sounds coming from the continent and travel across the main channel. In this occasion, the sound recordist, uncomfortable, stops being a mere unnoticed observer.

I explore sounds in different nature-culture interaction scenarios, with focus on biodiversity and soundscapes as key elements of natural and cultural heritage. Contemplation, field recording, analysis and digital processing, allow me to re-interpret those sounds in different contexts.
