Cage Dead was recorded during the Real World Recording Week, August 1992. It was composed in response to the news of John Cage’s death and the entire music material is derived from the notes of C.A.G.E. (except the piano which also plays D.E.A.D.) always in that order and that way up. The recording was co-produced by Alex Gifford.
The electric Aeolian harp was conceived and constructed by Geoffrey Richardson, Mike Lesser and Simon Jeffes.
