Self-taught.
At fifteen experimented with tape recorders and manipulation.
At seventeen taught himself to play the flute and other wind instruments.
In '75 got in touch with Studio for Experimental Music (SEM) and became involved as a composer and performer.
Kept going his own electronic-experimental way at all times and still does.
