Lyrics
We all live in a material world, That is the way it is today,
You buy on credit and you just don’t pay, You use it, abuse it and then throw it away.
Possessions for wealth, it’s a funny measure. But could be your trash is another folks treasure,
Banks hoard your money, the thievin’ sons’o’bitches, you’re better with a penny in the cuff of your britches.
Politicians so dishonest, they’re morally bankrupt, with laws to suit themselves and our lives to disrupt,
Their lust for greed and power is something to be seen, with bare faced lies for policy, it really is obscene.
The clergy are no better and it’s giving me the shits, preaching from their pulpits to a mob of hypocrites,
They say don’t fight or kill, it’s against the holy law, but send money to the third world, to start a bloody war.
It makes no sense or reason, I cannot figure why, if you don’t look for happiness, you may as well just die,
The world is not as tranquil as it was in ages past, we only have one planet, but how long will it last.
We all live in a material world, That is the way it is today,
You buy on credit and you just don’t pay, You use it, abuse it and then throw it away.
We all live in a material world, That is the way it is today,
You buy on credit and you just don’t pay, You use it, abuse it and then throw it away.
