Idiot Secrecies by Pasta Music

This album is dedicated to Jim Lahey, Arthur Morgan, and Theodore may they all rest in peace.

The shit seeds of this album were planted when I started and then binged through Trailer Park Boys (only up till season eight). Something about Mr. Lahey and his way with words sparked something in me that encouraged me to delve deep into myself to talk shit about people that could in some ways just be me talking shit about myself. So, this little beauty here grew into a nice little shit weed that I hope all you little shitipillars can feast on and enjoy.

Ti Siht Si - It's backwards

Cancer Stop LA (cancion para los arboles) - There's a joke in here somewhere about poor translation but I also feel a little stab towards people who like to rally around causes for the attention it brings to themselves.

Ain't No Lobos - Sprouted from a song I wrote about an old friend who would call me late at night and talk my ear off while I tried to figure out how to get off the phone... This song isn't about any of that at all though, this developed out of me playing around with my loop pedal.

Classico Falso - I made this when I was twenty and I thought music lessons in college would consist of me and a teacher playing songs to each other, but instead ended up being a teacher disappointed that I didn't practice my reading. It has a special place in my heart cause my mom's dog approved of it from the moment of it's creation.

Hot Booty Syndrome - Another song that came about in college that inspired lyrics by Connie Clark (aka Yung Miss) about being hot in the sun. We recorded a version back then which was just guitar and vocals and I've since evolved it into what it is now.

Is This It - It's a cover but it's built on a loop so it may be even more repetitive than the original.

Funeral Song - The middle point, laying shit to rest with a jaw harp.

Abyss - This was written with a specific person in mind, but when one stares into the abyss.... Mr. Lahey puts it better than I can.

A Toad a So - This song's about a band I used to look up to who apparently couldn't back up what they said, in any way. The words spilled out after watching a pretty cringey interview of theirs on Youtube where they said something along the lines of "In five years we hope to be famous, like the next Nirvana" and I remembered that the singer once told me "In five years, no one will remember" (This May marks five years since that interview was put on Youtube.)

Sweet Empowered Chicken - That feeling when you think it's cool to be open with people that you think are your friends but they're just storing away tidbits of gossip to laugh about with other people who hate you.

Theme Song - How I feel after being in five bands who almost all frustrated me with their lack of urgency to record the potential magic we had going at some points. Yeah I burned what seems like all the bridges, but I feel so much better off not getting mad at my musical brothers for not being down for what I am.

Old Philip - A remake of a song I recorded in 2012 that just kind of describes it's own birth.

Shithawk - My little reggae song. Who is it for? Where did it come from? When you plant shit seeds you get?
