Second Light by Luxury Noise

Denver producer, guitarist and visual artist Luxury Noise (Paul Nunn), delves into his love for the 90s and euphoric house music with his new release on Pacific Plaza Records: "Second Light".

On this eight track mini-album, Luxury Noise refines his sound and calls on a few of his friends to bring new perspectives to his music. Remixes from Simple Syrup, Device Operator and patchnotes expand on his vision and push the songs into other corners of the internet-music universe such as vaporwave breakbeats (Simple Syrup), synthwave (patchnotes) and vaporhouse (Device Operator).

These contributions compliment Luxury Noise's blissful house-influenced compositions and euphoric guitar work. Songs from previous digital releases have been given a new life ("Out", "The Light At A Certain Hour") and the new tracks expand his lo-fi house sound into new territory. Taking inspiration from his peers in the Coast-to-Coast Collective (which he co-founded), songs like "Missed Call" bring vaporwave influences to his sound and the warm cinematic synthwork, reminiscent of frequent collaborator patchnotes, is also present ("Dream Separation Anxiety").

As Luxury Noise prepares his debut album, this compilation of tracks introduces his signature style of atmospheric lo-fi house paired with melodic guitars and galloping beats. "Second Light" brings new facets to his music and is a fitting debut for the nostalgic format of choice for electronic musicians in 2022: the Audio Cassette. A limited edition of 50 dark blue tapes will be available in addition to its release on all streaming platforms on May 6th, 2022.
