Iceland’s Skjalfti brings us three tracks of distorted, warped field recordings, manipulated into harsh, bleak soundscapes. The origins of these sounds are rendered unrecognisable, with disembodied anonymous voices breaking out of the rumbles and crackles, placing these tracks sonically somewhere between textural noise wall and the harshest minimal PE.
