Sultry days, a summer haze,
lying languid by the riverside
shedding the skins we slip our bodies in,
surrender to our wild-sides
in this rugged, ancient land where clear waters flow
and the platypus still do play
way up in the mountains where spirits dance
among the stars of the milky way

Precious time for me and you
we make the most of making memories anew
We’re sipping wine by the fireside
the glow reflected in the faces of our friends
who share in the magic
our laughter echoes in the finest night air
and if only for a few short days
we feel that life could be lived without a care

Hand in hand, by your side
no mountain’s too high, there’s no river too wide
for you and me, an endless summer
love that knows no boundaries only grows ever stronger
let’s build a little shack
and honeymoon for the longest time
we’ll watch as our grand-children grow up
