Goaltending was originally inspired by Colin Kaepernic and the NFL protests. I just took the NFL letters and flipped all N-F-L words. I decided to include it but since the song is a metaphor for Football, I changed the name to ‘Goaltending’ because it blocks the original goal of keeping the entire project basketball related. Now the ‘Goaltending’ title actually makes the song fit into the basketball, which translates to ‘mission accomplished.’
