Offshoot the band, is an emerging four-piece act from Toronto, Ontario, playing original music for both privileged and underprivileged audiences. They blend a multitude of genres, creating an engaging experience for both performers and listeners alike.
Offshoot's sound is an energetic mix of garage rock, blues-punk, with elements of hardcore and ska. With socially conscious lyrics, heavy-hitting guitar riffs, and raspy, husky vocals, the band delivers a punch, especially through their high-energy live performances.
2024 marked a new level of creativity for the band, with fresh energy brought by a new drummer. Their singles, “Tension Seekers” and “Star Kissing,” were featured multiple times on 93.3 CFMU-FM in 2024. European filmmaker Alija Mrkonjic will feature several Offshoot songs in his upcoming feature-length fiction project The Veteran. The band is also currently working on releasing their debut album Stigma. Berlin DJ and electronic music producer Gula-E is set to remix the band's songs, creating electronic versions of their tracks.
