Pacific Northwest native Octavia McAloon writes music that exists firmly in the middle ground of her two musical traditions - Folk and Choral. She is most interested in music that achieves something genuinely new for its genre. This love of choral music manifests itself in her songwriting with use of intricately woven vocal harmonies and as a texture that builds the foundation of her music.
