Welcome to the world of Nyte Skye. For their debut album, Film School guitarist Nyles Lannon and his 13 year old son Skye dealt with the psychic heaviness of the first year of the pandemic crafting a stunning collection of shoegaze and new wave influenced indie rock, collaborating with friends Zach Rogue (Rogue Wave), Neil Rodenmeyer (Lupa Rosa), and Ian McDonald (FUTVRST) along the way.
From the moody synth pop of opener “Dream State” and reverb drenched waves of “Doing Time” to the dream pop bounce of “Take Me Up Again” Nyte Skye have created both a brillliant pop album and a document of the anxiety and disorientation of our times.
