So this is old school Metal in new clothes, isn't it? Why oldschool?
1) There's an all-tube amp (as usual).
2) The effects are mostly hardware, setup could be from the late 1980s or 90s, with a few more contemporary components though.
3) Some riffing may sound like "familiar" but in evolved thought patterns and new surroundings here. No overdubbing or cobbling together song parts and riffs in the digital audio workstation, it's one track (at a time), one session, no plan. The concept usually comes later.
There are no weird guitar sound experiments like on the previous Schallther record. Just groovy power thrash (or whatever you prefer to call it or not call it) for some jumping or headbanging ...or as a background soundtrack somewhere. No vocals, as usual these days. The cover art shows a glimpse of a pic of the player in question. That was quite some years ago, the guitar looked like metal, but the sound was in fact more hard rock and rock.
