Tämä on kunnianosoitus bluesmuusikoille, joita kuuntelemalla aloin tieni kitaristina joskus 10-vuotiaana. Tärkein oli Mississippi John Hurt. Hänellä oli biisi "Let the Mermaids Flirt With Me". Tekstini sivuaa tuon laulun sanoja.
This is a kind of tribute to the blues musicians I started my journey as a guitarist listening to, when I was about 10 years old. The most important was Mississippi John Hurt. He had a song called "Let the Mermaids Flirt with Me". My song touches on the lyrics of that song.

Nikolai Blad, born in 1963 in Tampere, is a Finnish singer-songwriter. He has released four solo EP:s and six albums. Who have seen him alive on stage can't just ignore this man. A proof of his talent was the first prize at the Kaustinen Unaccompanied Folksong Contest 1993. Folksongs were one important seed for his artistry, although he is not a keeper nor preserver of tradition.
