///A1 is a collection of instrumental music I made in Summer/Fall 2016.
I recorded myself playing piano and guitar on iphone and then sampled those recordings as the basis for these tracks. Three exceptions: A 1 C is a Seagulls sample from the "Great Pine" album. A 1 I is a sample of a performance of Hurrian Hymn which is the oldest known melody in human history. A 1 H is a sample of my beloved friend, Adam Laye, playing guitar.
I added beats and synths to flesh out the samples. I layered each track with samples of ASMR and white noise high in the mix and combined that with heavy, slow-release compression and auto-filtering to create breathing/vamping.

New God's debut LP, Motorcar, was over 5 years in the making and was released in 2012 to much critical praise. The follow up, 2014's "Firework", was written and partially recorded in an abandoned racquetball court and released via Yellow K Records. New God has been touring in support of "Firework" throughout 2014-15 and have recently began work on their third full-length album.
