Lower Waters by New Dog
A batch of stripped-down piano songs, written and recorded at home over a couple of months in spring of 2025. The usual New Dog themes are all here: paralysis, shadows, rebirths, keys, family trees. Longtime listeners might recognize "Baltimore" (a song Luke O’Neil described as “both ominous and amorous at once"), reimagined here for piano, with my friend Eric on guitar. That one first appeared on the album "Lost Weekend" in 2013.
