Recorded during the pandemic in 2020, Navrasam is a small insight into the musical prowess of Paravur,Keralas Kathakali troupe.
Navarasam means nine emotions, the nine emotions are as follows:
Shringaram (love/beauty),
Hasiyam (laughter),
Karuna (sorrow),
Rudram (anger),
Veeram (heroism/courage),
Bhedbhalasam (disgust),
Bhayanak (terror/fear),
Adhbhutam (surprise/wonder),
Shantam (peace or tranquility)
