A Blues Roots track from my EP, Unconquered Lands, These Bones is about the temporary nature of life and everything that we experience. If everything is temporary anyway, we may as well take the risks that could make us feel alive.
Ever since I first picked up a guitar at the age of 7, I haven’t stopped writing songs. It’s my way of processing the chaotic and beautiful world that we all try to pave our way through. My father brought me up on blues and my mother on folk, and so my style has been a bridge between the two, lit up by the influence of contemporary r’n’b and alt stars like the weeknd and Matt Corby.
