Clowns by Nadja Zela

CLOWNS is an avant-rock album full of surreal dreams and nightmares, juggling with the colorfulness of a collective circus dream when the lights go out and the animals are locked back in their cages.
In the longing for gentleness, a terrifying vision spreads that we are all enslaved clowns in the circus of will, that we are lonely searching for ourselves and lonely losing ourselves again.
This music is captured by a rhythm section that strides into the ring like an old elephant. They are joined by two dialogic guitars, prancing and snarling, and a dark voice that trains the songs between melodic singing and spoken word.

I am an alternative rocker based in Zurich. My sound ranges from avant-rock over brute folk to experimental singer-songwriter.

I do my best not to please you, but to take you on trips, to inspiring worlds, to set you in vibration.
