lake's brown surface
suddenly glinting
scarlet, orange...the koi
A modern Haiku by Bernard Gadd
This was originally a much bigger piece but as with all these Haiku's, I decided to pare it down and experiment with tiny samples from a longer field recording of a babbling brook.
However in the new version I imagined the Koi swimming and coming up for air in a large tank at a local Garden Centre, hence the gushing water sounds of the oxygenators. Not quite as romantic.
All sounds used are in the public domain via the Freesound community together with my own field recordings, sounds and music.
