Askanes by Dead Fader

While we wait for Dead Fader's second album, here comes a pretty uncommon release from this British dubstep / noise artist, in the form of a 40 minutes long, one track only CD. Sounding a bit like a long jam or an improvised session, "Askanes" features almost all the aspects of Dead Fader's regular output, from the curshing beats to the scraping noises and screeching frequencies. It's dark, oppressive, but all done in a rather original and uncommon way, adding a lot to the interest and charm one can find in this release. Obviously not an album, but a really interesting album nonetheless.
