TERRA (earth), new album by MUOM OVERTONE SINGING CHOIR



Is a musical journey evoking two entertaining elements: Ether and Earth. The first, Ether, is the symbol of the ineffable, subtle and transcendent, is represented by the sonorous plane of vocal harmonics. The second, Earth, symbol of the incarnated, vital and fecund, is represented by the sonorous world of guttural throat singing and rhythmic percussion.



'Terra' is Muom’s fourth album and the first in the 'Elementalia' series, which will consist of four CD’s, each dedicated to one of the four elements (Earth, Air, Fire and Water). The music of the 'Elementalia' series seeks to immerse the listener in the magic world of vocal overtone singing.

MuOM is a vocal group which uses Overtone Singing Techniques, each singer producing two tones at once. MuOM creates its own music, with no words, superimposing the two planes of the voice and it’s harmonics to create slowly shifting harmonies with delicate overtone melodies overtop.

A MuOM concert is a soundscape experience for all types of public.
