Endless, airless, lightless, but not lifeless. You are not alone within the steel hulk of this ship that drifts through the darkness of space. Your footsteps echo in that false emptiness, off the bulkheads glistening with oil and moisture, down the vacant corridors into darkened corners hiding who knows what. The steel grates fracture the dim glow of the illumination strips below, guiding your way deeper into the infrastructure. Your crew is gone, slaughtered by whatever is hiding in that Dark or driven mad, escaping out the airlock to freedom and death. Your breath is mist in the freezing air, but then a sound of breath that is not your own...
