The surface lies still, secrets hidden beneath the thick mats of duckweed, water lily, and salvinia, an overgrown mirror of thought, undisturbed, reflecting nothing and everything.

But the mind, like the pond, is never truly still. The monochrome ochre of those depths stirs. Bursts of memory, instinct, or sensation dart into view; feeding, fleeing, or simply existing in the deep hush below. Ambient fragments. Droning pulses. Dissonant flickers. A soundscape suspended between silence and instinct, between what is seen and what lies just beneath.
