I found 2007 improvised session. It was recorded after we got married and moved to a new place. A few songs on "We Hum On The Way Home" were born in this session. Such as "A Few Minutes Before The Dawn", "Duck Pond Evening" and "The Southern Cross." Surprisingly, this improvised session gave a rough idea of these songs.
After 14 years, I added some elements on these songs and reconstructed. It's like finding an old photo and putting it in a new frame with nostalgia. That memory is reborn and remains in my heart.
The Japanese ambient folk guitarist, Motohiro Nakashima, explore the music of a scenery in memories. The sounds is calm like The Seto Inland Sea where he grew, and sometimes it has a gloomy expression like a sun setting on the sea. The finger-picking-style guitar plays warm minimalism like a wave, and the melody that reminds people's memories are gentle and friendly.
