It was easy to pretend that she'd never seen his face
Like their only encounter was this chance footrace
He saw she didn't care, couldn't help but stare, her dark watery eyes

Rewind all of the time
Couldn't get her out of his head
Spinning words, round and round
There was so much left unsaid
Until that day when he saw her dark nothing eyes
She faded away

And just like that he put her in the past
Nothing left to say
"Goodbye stranger, just another pretty face in the crowd, trying to find your place"
