Today I walked outside to the sight of the sound
The only thing I couldn't miss was never in doubt
Mismatched poetry pleads to fall off the page
Write down all of these things I won't ever say

You can turn a phrase, put a name to any face
A little less time to find a lot more that you can chase

Today I walked outside, I heard the alarm
The lights won't blind you tonight take a shot in the dark
Stumbled over what's right in front of our eyes
Cuts you off at the knees, not the sharpest of knives

It's better not to say things just don't make sense
Rearranging artifacts until you find that there's no way to get back
