אַשְׁרֵי הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר לֹא הָלַךְ בַּעֲצַת רְשָׁעִים
וּבְדֶרֶךְ חַטָּאִים לֹא עָמָד
וּבְמוֹשַׁב לֵצִים לֹא יָשָׁב
כִּי אִם בְּתוֹרַת ה׳, חֶפְצוֹ
וּבְתוֹרָתוֹ יֶהְגֶּה יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה
וְהָיָה כְּעֵץ שָׁתוּל עַל-פַּלְגֵי-מָיִם
אֲשֶׁר פִּרְיוֹ יִתֵּן בְּעִתּוֹ וְעָלֵהוּ לֹא-יִבּוֹל
וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר-יַעֲשֶׂה יַצְלִיחַ

Ashrei ha'ish asher lo halach ba'atzat reshaim
(Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly)
Uvederech chata'im lo amad, uvemoshav letzim lo yashav
(nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful)

Ki im betorat Adonai cheftzo uvetorato yehege yomam valaila.
(But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night)
Vehaya ke'etz shatul, vehaya ke'etz shatul al palgei mayim
(And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water)

Asher piryo yiten be'ito, ve'alehu lo, ve'alehu lo yibol.
(That bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither)
Vechol asher ya'ase vechol asher ya'ase yatzli'ach
(And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper)
