This concept album is my very personal journey into the world of the ancient Greek gods, legends and heroes that I have long revered.
This music will immerse you in the legendary world of Greek mythology. Experience how the truly intricate connections within the ancient world of the gods are brought to life through the legendary characters of the deities. The ominous connections of the gods with each other and with the earthly humans form the scene of jealousy, revenge and pain, but also sublime moments of love, joy and peace. As if through a magical connection, the powerful echoes of this time can still be felt today. The myths of this world are so far away and yet so close to our heart.
“Complicated Connections” offers music in an ambient style, interwoven with many features of the Berlin School. New this time are melodic influences and orchestral elements.

Mike Hans STEFFL is a German photographer and DOP, but also a musician, doing electronic music since the 1970ies. Born in 1959 he was mainly influenced by artists of his youth, like Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, J.M. Jarre and Vangelis. His main genre is Berlin School and Ambient music.
All of his instruments are real hardware, sometimes true analog oldtimer, but he also likes to combine this vintage gear with new digital synthesizers.
