My metal box is my National Tri-Plate resonator guitar. Made around 1932 ten years before i was born it has been with me since 1958. All of these pieces are made from sounds found on that guitar, sampled and played live into these six post digital primitivist compositions. I started my musical life playing Country Blues on this instrument and i hope these pieces still retain some of the textural feel and spirit of that music. It is dedicated to the memory of John Fahey.
