Undercurrents by Mick Chillage

"Undercurrents" was created in mid summer of 2024 with the first track, when I finished the piece I was curious about certain sonic elements, the sustained and slightly modulated high pitched drone, the super low ominous bass that you feel as much as you hear and the sweeping & rising modulated synth FX/atmo part. What if these became the foundations of an album and continued to carry new pieces as they emerged in sequence?

"Part 2" was a piece of improvised ambience that had been sitting on my hard drive since spring and one that I was very happy with, I dropped it into the project and mixed it with the elements from the above mentioned sounds & it just clicked into place, the next two works were conceived on top of the original foundations/undercurrents which worked as a nice source of inspiration.
