Two ships pass in a harbor
Two leaves brush in the wind
Fate’s in play for a moment
Then that moment ends

Lonely hearts on the sidewalk
Longing souls in the park
Walking just past each other
So close, so far

It’s the distance of inches
And it’s the difference of love and loneliness
Our existence is bound by these forces

But if you’re lucky, stars may align

A pair of shooting stars in the cosmos
One due East, and one West
Crossing paths for a second
Then that second ends
