Banjo & Fiddle by Ron Ault and Jim Wood

This album is a wonderful collection of fiddle tunes. The late Ron Ault was a dear friend of Michael & Nell. He is remembered as a fine musician and an inspired graphic artist. His graphic design work can be viewed in the artwork for Shelby Bottom String Band's East Nashville Rag album, available on this site. Acclaimed multi instrumentalist Jim Wood plays fiddle, bouzouki, and cello on this album.

Michael & Nell's Welcome Home album was #5 on the August 2020 Folk Alliance Chart. Michael's Down That Road CD came out in 2021. The Joe Hill Roadshow CD features songs they perform in their live Joe Hill presentation. They led the “formidable” Shelby Bottom String Band from 2008 to 2015. The band's East Nashville Rag CD is now out of print. This site also promotes friends of Michael & Nell.
