Simone de Haan, contemporary trombonist, master teacher, artistic director and leading music educator, is recognised as one of Australia’s foremost musicians and advocates for contemporary music making.
As a soloist, member of the Australia Contemporary Music Ensemble (directed byKeith Humble) and co-founder of the leading contemporary musi c projects Flederman (with Carl Vine) and Pipeline (with Daryl Pratt), Simone has commissioned over 150 works by Australian composers.
He has held significant music leadership roles as Professor and Director of the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music UTAS, Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and ANU School of Music.
