Drifting / Floating by Metric System 1981

Back to the roots, or not?
After the recently release of the 60 minutes long AWAKENING - a track originally recorded the beginning of the Eighties - comes now the FLOATING / DRIFTING Mini Album, with works from 2022.
Somehow with a quite simular feel but somehow different. The new tracks reflect well the artist's nowadays personal favor for deeper athmospheric soundscapes.

The Story behind:
Michael Schacht released with his musical projects like Metric System 1981 mostly Berlin School-influenced electronic music in the Eighties, the zenith of the music cassette underground. recorded at that time with his Fostex tapedeck and Korg MS-20, MS-50, SQ-10 and the Vocoder. a few of his cassettes got distributed by the legendary shop Scheissladen in Berlin (its owner is also known under the name "Der wahre Heino") and a disaffected tape label from Gernsheim/Germany.

Michael Schacht is a german composer, who also produces ambient with Metric System 1981.

Michael Schacht re-started in 2020 after a break of 35 years, with returning new inspiration and a numerous releases.
