Creation / Awakening by Metric System 1981
The 60 minutes long AWAKENING (aka Vitamin C) is originally a track from the beginning of the Eighties and appears now in a restored full version, from the original Music Cassette. CREATION is a new track that reflects well the artist's personal favor for more darker, athmospheric soundscapes.
The Story behind:
Michael Schacht released with his musical projects like Metric System 1981 mostly Berlin School-influenced electronic music in the Eighties, the zenith of the music cassette underground. He recorded at that time with his Fostex tapedeck and Korg MS-20, MS-50, SQ-10 and the Vocoder. a few of his cassettes got distributed by the legendary shop Scheissladen in Berlin (its owner is also known under the name "Der wahre Heino") and a disaffected tape label from Gernsheim/Germany.
