qFor Alvidrez, ‘Little Heart’ signifies a paean to self-recognition, to the tranquility that comes with grasping a restorative sense of perspective: "[Little Heart is] an ode to breaking away from a tumultuous, projecting love and calming yourself into understanding, into recontextualizing loss and letting it be a gateway to self-acknowledgement — saying I still have me. I know me. I am still here! In a way, it kind of tumbles along the line of avoiding self-mythologizing — the kind that plagues my want to dramatize things that are painful — but also naming it "as is" as a way of reckoning."
