Holding to the sun's golden rays
Praying to the moon's silver hair

In the quiet of the welkin's dusk
She sang to the susurrating leaves
A sonnet of mysteries ere the grace
Of moonless nights, of sunless days

Whence she came, none shall confess
For she was, before the light was born
When the sun was still a throneless empress
And the moon was just a child unborn

Yet, whenever in dire times of need
The stars shall seek her in the skies
For she is the queen of realms unseen
And the holder of truths unknown
