I'm excited to revisit and re-release one of my personal favorites from Drums and Shadows—the track formerly known as "One 2gether," now reimagined as "One Together." This new 2025 version has been remastered with added layers and a remix.

The track is about unity, optimism, and upliftment—Made to bring people together, this reimagined version expands on that vision—layered with deeper textures and renewed vibrance. It’s an invitation to groove - Whether you're dancing with friends at your get-together or on a road trip with the top down.

Joining the re-release is a special remix from London-born, ATL/Nashville-based world-renowned DJ/Producer Daz-I-Kue, bringing his signature touch to the track. His remix captures and amplifies the Boogie/Disco Funk vibe of the track— reminiscent of infectious grooves from the late '70s to mid-'80s that kept folks dancing.

Originally released in 2017 as part of Drums and Shadows, "One 2gether" quickly became a fan favorite—a true hidden gem that quietly resonated with listeners. Now, I’m incredibly grateful to revisit that spirit and share it through a new lens. "One Together" feels like a return, a renewal… full circle.

Mausiki Scales & his band Common Ground Collective have been a staple on the Atlanta scene since the late 90s. With their influence of African sounds like Afrobeat and Hi-Life mixed in with Funk, Blues, Jazz and other Black musical traditions brings an unique irresistible dance filled soundscape.
